On Thursday the 13th of August 2009 James Hargest and Oamaru Intermediate walked side by side through the St Kevin’s gates to start the netball, rugby and soccer.
Over at the netball courts James Hargest had taken the lead but Oamaru Intermediate weren’t going down without a fight. Oamaru’s Goal shoot and Goal attack were scoring goals like crazy. But in the end James Hargest won by one point.
Here are some pictures from the netball.

James Hargest was welcomed into Oamaru Intermediate’s hall by a Powhiri performed by some of Oamaru Intermediates students. Our students stood proud and our teachers and James Hargest were impressed by our singing and the haka that was preformed. Here is a slide from the welcoming.

Today in Room11, Taylor celebrated her 13th birthday. Her mum (to her suprise) brought in a massive chocolate cake to share with her class. Mr Martin smothered it with Jaffas. Yum!

An Interactive whiteboard is a big screen put on top of the normal white board and can be controlled using a keyboard and mouse hooked up, Wireless keyboard or a Special Interactive pen. Currently 5 Classes have these boards and now it’s time to put them in the rest of the classes. The children in the classes soon to get them are bound to be excited as are the teachers they are a great learning tool and aid in making life interesting using these cool boards.
