Recently O.I.S. has had new solar panels installed. The old panels gave O.I.S. 25-30 years of good heated water for the school pool. How it works is that the water runs through the black pipes underneath double glazed windows so that when the sun shines on the windows it keeps the heat in and the black pipes do the same job.
The water has to be cooled because it’s so hot. Then it’s pumped into the pool.
The whole school fundraised for these new Solar Panels. We raised over $10,000.
