The O.I.S Fun Run

The children of O.I.S have already begun training for the annual fun run that’s coming up next week at Oamaru Intermediate School. The fun run challenges kids to push themselves to the limit physically and mentally to finish the fun run to the best of their ability. Everyone finishes the run even if they feel like lying down and gong to sleep because of sheer determination. At the end of the day everyone is proud of what they achieved and spends the rest of the day having a well earned rest.

Next Wednesday is not only our Fun Run day, but it is also our Duffy Assembly in the morning. Everyone will be tired in the afternoon – but they will have a new Duffy Book to curl up with!

It’s great to see so many OIS children out training. I hope everyone in Rata house is ready for a big performance, we really need to move up the house points leaderboard! Mrs Hay
