At OIS we have a receptionist from one of the classes every day and today it’s me so I thought I would write a report on what it’s like.
I came over in the morning and was told what to do - immediately the action kicked in with a phone call, so I answered it and said what I was told to say earlier on and it was very successful.
Later on I was told to take the over–due library book papers around the rooms followed by taking newspapers to some other classes. Receptionist is a really fun thing to do as it fills your day with new experiences and boosts your confidence on the phone and talking to other classroom teachers . So far I have answered about 8 phone calls.
I have been around most of the classrooms whether it’s for delivering messages to the teachers or picking up the lunch orders.
My day has been a very fun action packed experience.
