Camp Fundraising 2008

Posted by: deidresenior | July 22, 2008 | No Comment |

Every year the year 8s of the school get a fantastic opportunity to go on camp, we get 4 choices: Wainui, Stewart Island, Mount Somers and Dunedin.

Since the camps are around $300 each we need to fundraise so our parents don’t have to pay so much. Every child fundraises different amounts of money but we all aim for $300.

There are 4 different ways to fundraise, the choices are: garage sale

Lotto

Raffle and

Ten pin bowling

The year 8s all get up to two terms to raise as much money as they can for themselves, or, if your parents come on camp then you can fundraise for them as well but the price isn’t as expensive for them because we get to do more activities.

Each camp does different things like Dunedin is the drama camp where you visit universities and do lots of drama activities. Mount Somers is the hiking camp where you get to hike up the mount and swim in natural lakes. Stewart Island is the adventure camp where you go fishing in early hours of the morning and go for walks in the bush. Wainui is also an adventure camp where you have to face your fears and try new things.

At this school we all like to try new things so post your comment because we love hearing from you.
