During the OIS cool schools programme students were given the opportunity to write a letter to their classroom teacher telling them how much they would like to be a mediator and why they think they would be good at it.
Teachers chose 4-6 of the students who were willing to take the opportunity to a higher level.
Mrs Senior (deputy principal) took the job of being the trainer of all us hard working mediators. The yr8 mediators have had two sessions with Mrs senior and are due for another one this afternoon.
4 of the 6 mediators from each classroom will be the main mediator which means the others will be back up mediators in case the original mediators can’t be there.
Also the four main mediators will receive a badge, and will be working extremely hard for the rare mediator trainer badges.
