O.I.S is a books in home school which means we get sponsors from businesses and all the students get to order two to three books of their choice, which are then sent to them from the Duffy Company. On Wednesday the 9th of April O.I.S had a Duffy assembly to acknowledge some of the companies who sponsored us and listen to a famous writer. Two students from each class were lucky enough to be presented with their Duffy books during assembly because they show great skills and understanding in their reading. Duffy books are a great way to get children into reading because they are free and pupils get to choose what books they get, whether it’s a picture or a 500 page chapter book. Written by Cam

A superb report on the Duffy Assembly Cam. It’s a pity you didn’t get a photo of Tony doing his rather interesting ‘haka’.

It was really interesting to read your report. Our School also has Duffy Book Assembly’s and our students video’d the last one where we had Sara-Jane the singer sing for us. I liked the fact you linked in a photo with your report, maybe a video next time?
